Another holiday season came and went. We had a great holiday and loved being with family. This was our first married Christmas and it was truly perfect!

With the holidays a few days away, and we are out getting all the last minute gifts, we some times forget to decorate for the holiday . Here is some last minute ideas for your holiday table.

Here is what we did to display our cards and wrap up our gifts.  This is just the beginning! 

The pine cones and branches our from our first real tree! I just added a little glitz to them.

Well we had our first holiday party, and it was success! Here is some of our decorations. We had so much fun putting everything together. Its the best time to get creative. (Puppy makes a cute accessory as well in the picture)

Wrap it Up

 

When it comes to wrapping gifts, we all want them look perfect even though they are being ripped through. Its all about presentation. This year I promised myself I would wrap all my gifts early and place them under our tree for decoration. Here are some ways I will be wrapping my gifts this year. We are doing a new service at Chic Interiors.! This is exciting and seems to be what majority of clients need.  We always offer to come to your home and do the whole design process, measure room, place furniture, assist in accessory shopping etc.. but we will now offer to do this all from our home!
How it works:
A questionnaire will be emailed to you with different questions of what you want the room to have and also measurements of the space. We will take up to 3 days to design the room. You will receive an email of the room plan, list of items and where to purchase them along with the paint colors. This is a one time design service. Fee $100.00


Here's what the new design service will offer:

• All Furniture Ideas
• Paint Colors
• Lighting
• Draperies
• Accessories.
• Area Rugs

We will send you your design plan  and a list of where you can purchase all the items we list for a room designed around what you give us.

Next Project!

We are finishing one room and I am already onto the next. Our office has been a room we have put off for awhile now. The office is a level up from all the other rooms so I wanted to make it very different, a room where creativity can flow. Here is how I see the room looking.

Fall Harvest

This is such a wonderful time of year! The weather here has been so perfect but I know its not long before the cold days come along:(. As I was searching for some fall décor I was loving all the colors and thought for the fall lovers they can have it all year round with a room in their home. The main colors I love for the fall are the browns, yellows, oranges and greens that look so perfect together.

 

 

Inspiration for Our Bedroom!

The one room that should be where you can just relax is your bedroom. I knew I wanted a clean crisp look.  When your bedroom is cluttered with furniture or a lot of color  its difficult  to relax. When picking furniture try not to go for the whole matching bedroom set look. Most of the time its to much of wood or metal in a room. If you have a wood dresser and end tables let your headboard be upholstered or metal. If you add a different touch of finishes the room becomes softer . I used a lot of beach and rustic inspiration for our bedroom. Below you can see what inspired me. I have a little more accessorizing to do and then I will put the finish product up! Painting my front door a new color!!

Where Have I been?!

Wow.. It has been awhile but I am back!! I had a busy summer with moving into a new home, and getting married I thought I could finally sit back and relax...I thought wrong!! A week before our wedding we developed a leak in our ceiling that spread through out the family room YIKES!!! So now as we approach fall we are going into construction and will be busy once again. I will post some before pictures of what we will be changing around. For now I have been shopping around for some fall pieces to put on my new furniture. Here is what I am loving!! 

Will it ever be done?

When you move into any new place, you want everything done right away, unfortunately not all of us have the non budget approach or the time to dedicate.  I hear it all the time from people that their home is so unfinished and they need help. It takes a good 6 months for a home to be completed and that is without construction being done. Your always  changing things and by the time you finish, you want to change the first thing you did cause your tired of it, this happens all the time. To achieve the look that you want for your home, you should take your time and don't rush through the process give your self a couple of months to complete it.  Some ways to make the process of decorating easier on you and less stressful is

1. Have inspirational pictures  of what you want
2.  Make sure you can afford the new look you want
