Chic Accessories

There is one site that I always love to go to for accessories Z Gallerie. It is  a more modern site if you are looking for different items this is the place to look. Pricing is very fair. These are a few items I found that are possible purchases for my own home!

Always have Crown

Many homes struggle with moulding especially crown moulding. I strongly recommend main rooms if you can afford to put crown moulding in them that it be put up. It makes a huge different in the appearance of the room that many home owners don't believe until they do it. The choice between styles is the tricky part. If you have a small room go simple not too thick down the wall, a larger room can handle thicker moulding.  Here are some moulding options.

Help me Decide!

We still have more rooms to redo but our next big project will be the office! I am giving the stencil floor a shot and I hope it is successful because it is such a great look for an office. Hoping to get started on it this weekend!!

Let me know which stencil pattern you think I should choose!

All Grown Up

How to transition from a Nursery to a Toddler Room!

Here is a nursery I did almost two years ago and it needs to be tweaked to more of a toddler room. When designing this room  we wanted to keep so that not much would have to be changed to make it a big kid room.

New Year , New Furniture

So we have been slow in the process of furnishing our home, I wanted to take time and live in our house before I went and purchased all our furniture, you never want to buy furniture or any big items for your home on impulse or just cause your in a hurry. You will in the end regret a lot of purchases or end up spending more money to buy new things.  We recently purchased two accent chairs for our living room ,our puppy loves us for them, he has not come off them. My wall color is  Gray Horse from Benjamin Moore, it is a gray/green shade so I can throw any color in this room. I chose to bring a lighter teal to it since my dishes and a lot of the kitchen accents are teal  I decided the rooms would be the same color scheme since they are connected.  This is just a snippet,  hopefully we can hang some pictures on the wall and complete this side of the room.

Can't Turn Back Now!

We began to put our wall collage together, I have a good feeling it will be finished by the weekend!!

I purchased all our frames from Home Goods and Target, I tried to keep it to the same color tones, but mixed the shapes to all different to add some character. Below is some of the frames all ready to go.

Its all about the Wall

 Do

I am guilty of falling into the wall collage craze. I have been working on mine going up my stairs. As much as these seem to be very easy,  most think you can just put anything together on the wall. This is not the case. When doing a wall collage you want to make sure its cohesive with the room and also that the styles of the frames or pictures are in the same category ( Ex; traditional, contemporary  etc.) I am HOPING to have mine finished this week  and be able to share it.

To Do List!

We all have the project list for our  home , but how many things do we actually do? The New Year I am determined to cross everything off my project list.

Start with the big projects first if they can be done.

Painting, buying new pieces of furniture, or any construction.

Always accessorize and hang last those should always be the finishing touch.

Today I start with taking down all my holiday decor. Our home looks empty!
